Counselling

If you are struggling with an issue or life event that just won’t go away, then it may be helpful to access our Central Counselling Service.

One of our trained team of counsellors to meet with you initially just to chat things through and then meet again if you both think our help is appropriate for you.

Our service operates Monday-Friday and sessions are by appointment only, at an agreed time between counsellor and client, within the following hours:

Mon 9.30am –  8.00pm
Tues 9.30am – 8.00pm
Wed 9.30am – 8.00pm
Thurs 9.30am – 6.00pm
Fri 9.30am – 1.00pm

As a church-based service, all our counsellors are Christian by faith, but those of other faiths or of no faith are welcome to use the service. We seek to be a presence in the heart of the local community in which we are based, and accessible to all.

Financial contributions are made on a donation basis. Suggested amounts are on a sliding scale depending upon income and range from-

  • Unemployed-£15 per hourly session
  • Students-a negotiable rate starting at £15 per hourly session.
  • Salaried-the suggested sliding scale is between £20 and £50 per hourly session

We do encourage all clients to donate where possible but consideration is given to those who are unable to contribute.

If you would like to request counselling, please do so by filling out the form below, or by emailing us. You can also call us on 0131 446 9923

If you have concerns regarding the way in which counselling has been offered, we would be pleased to hear from you and you can raise your concerns through our Internal Complaints Procedure.
